Challenge Day 1

Today's use of on hand groceries was easy!  Several trips to Sam's Club ago, we purchased some quick breakfast meals.... sausage and pancake on a stick. They are great when you need something quick... I was out the door by 6:25a.m. too!
Breakfast   - tomato juice, coffee, sausage pancake on a stick.
Snack - yogut
Lunch - sliced ham on thin whole wheat bread, bread and butter pickles
Dinner
- left over chicken breasts from the freezer, reheated with a sesame sweet and sour sauce served over
- rice, left over from the last large batch we made a month ago. ( We use steamer food saver bags!)
-crunchy lettuce ( aka cabbage, renamed so a grandchild would eat cabbage, thinking its lettuce) with tomato, cucumbers, onions and radishes.  The tomato, onions and radishes are from our garden
-dessert was yummy Peterbrooke chocolates, a student's teacher appreciation gift !

Poor Phil, on his way to the garden/farm, he usually takes his refillable mug, stopping at the local convenience store for his morning "Senior Coffee".  He had to take his thermos mug with him today.  No breakfast at the local diner either.  No visiting his favorite store... Publix.
:(   It was a difficult day.

  1. Welcome back. I was feeling lost for not blogging for 3 weeks, but you had me beat! I didn't make a post about the Prepper Challenge today, but I did manage to eat all 3 meals at home for a change. I would have no problem, but my other half is like your DH. He likes to get out for a while and I know he stops and eats lunch out.
