Challenge Day 2

As luck would have it, Phil visited the local Kangaroo Station with his mug.... morning Senior Coffee... AND he discovered that with every tenth purchase you get one free. Today was the free  mug of coffee!  That was such a nice treat.

Me, no such luck.  It was scones and coffee day at school  The Media Specialist (Librarian) bakes scones as a fund raiser every so often.  I just had to donate to the library fund, and got a scone for my donation.  It was a really nice treat during my planning period.

We have a Keurig Machine that is put to great use each day.   Phil buys bulk coffee beans and recently, we purchased the reusable k-cups, allowing us to grind our own coffee and make our own k-cups.  Sure is nice not having to stop at Starbucks for a morning coffee. I can have it in my jammies early in the morning.

Phil and his buddy, the owner of the  land where we share garden space, weeded the vegetable garden.  The veggies are just starting to ripen, so Phil brought home some veggies which we ate for dinner.

Daily Menu
Breakfast: Coffee, orange juice, cherrios
Snack; yogurt ( and the "free" scone)
Lunch: rolled ham slices, snow peas (raw and crunchy are so tasty) cheese stick
Dinner: Bacon Lettuce and Tomato sandwiches, chips and ice tea.

Found a steak in the freezer in the "beef" bag; so tomorrow I will add it with the rest of those tomatoes and peppers, pasta and dressing to make a summer pasta salad.   Saturday we harvested onions, so I might  include some of those along with anything else in the refrigerator!
This is kind of fun!

The Sewing Studio has been a little busy lately.  I have been working on a project for Vacation Bible School. I was also able to complete more of my UFO's  Those unfinished projects!.... completed squares for a Drunkards Path Table Mat, finished up several lap chalkboards, completed quilting and binding a lap quilt for my brother Chuck, remade the quilt to for my brother Jim, and several mug rugs and zippered pouches for gifting.

  2. So far the challenge seems to be pretty easy. I have a feeling it will get much more difficult for me! Good luck!
